GM Supplier Tribute
The Situation
Every year, General Motors hosts a tribute conference to recognize suppliers located across the globe. Suppliers are chosen based on nominations submitted to GM. Once selected to attend, these suppliers need to register for the conference. Personal information, flight details, hotel preferences, among other data are sent to tribute organizers for coordination. Registration services need to be available around the clock, allowing participants to update their registration at any time.
The Challenge
Create an online nomination and registration system balancing the needs for secure data, 24-hour updates by the participants, and ease of management for tribute organizers.

The Solution
Igadea began by identifying areas of the nomination and registration processes that were inefficient or required a significant amount of manual work. With these areas in mind, we designed a web application with public interfaces for nomination submission and supplier registration, and a private area for data management by GM staff. Suppliers fill out multi-part forms to nominate a candidate or register for the conference, returning as needed to enter more information. On the administrative end, GM staff have instant access to submission data in electronic form, allowing them to easily integrate the data with existing systems. As a result, nominations and registrations have been a success for 2 years running.
